Nowadays only high creativity, environmentally responsible behaviour and customer orientation can open up markets – this is the philosophy of smartfiber AG.
The smartfiber AG has an own license for the production of lyocell special fibers which has been uniquely awarded by the Lenzing Group to smartfiber AG. The Lenzing Group is a global leading manufacturer and supplier of socalled man-made cellulose fibers. In cooperation with Lenzing joint material developments as well as research projects are planned.
All fibers of smartfiber AG constitute the basis for innovative and market suitable products in various industrial sectors. Textile products are already on the market, show a dynamic uptrend. This is also due to the flexible service orientation of smartfiber AG which offers in all areas customised and marketing oriented solutions. Upon customer request even individual fibers and end products are created. Also for this reason smartfiber AG was granted with the Founders Award “Marktlücke” of the Newspaper Group Thuringia. An even greater success, the company recorded in 2010 by winning the German Innovation Prize.
The market launch and the market presence of products of smartfiber AG and their customers are supported by a consistent, target group-specific marketing strategy with directed fair presence and promotional concepts.
The team arranges for a successive expansion of the core segments research, development and production with a high qualified research team consisting of over 40 scientists and production staff. Thus in 2007 smartfiber AG took over the worldwide unique factory of SeaCell® in Rudolstadt with its patents and employees. Thereby the company increased its production capacity by more than 500 tons per year.
To guarantee the professional manufacture of smartfiber-fibers the company cooperate with selected international productions partners. Well-known spinning companies, weaving mills, knitting mills, nonwoven manufacturers and factories all over the world belong to the smartfiber-network and ensure high quality products with outstanding properties – completely in the sense of the end costumer.
