Readmill- Berlin startup

With so many interesting and talented people on Readmill, we thought it was about time we featured a few of them here on the blog. We asked Ryan Essmaker what he’s been reading, and what’s been keeping him busy.

Ryan, what have you been reading recently?

I recently finished The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald and it quickly became one of my all-time favorites. Other than that I’ve been working my way through On The Road by Jack Kerouac (The Original Scroll) and just started Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. I tend to have a few books going at once unless something really captivates me.

Where’s the best place to read in your part of the world?

The best place for me is in bed or by the fireplace with a nice glass of scotch or bourbon. If I want to get out of the house there’s a cool cafe in town called The Raven that’s pretty chill. They have walls of old books, good drinks, and plenty of places to sit and get lost in a book.

Your favourite highlight on Readmill?

This particular highlight from The Great Gatsby has to be my favorite at the moment. Fitzgerald had such a way with words.
