mlove Japan / 2013
Unfortunately, we have a sad news to share. We have decided to postpone MLOVE ConFestival Japan to 2013.
Up until today, we have recruited an AMAZING roster of speakers (Wired, frog, Nike, Google, Rakuten, Amobee, Dentsu, Hakuhodo, Asics, Loftwork, Safecast, Miraikan Museum, Rhizomatiks, Nielsen, Ogilvy among others) – these are people we are inspired by, that are leaders in their fields and expert influencers that push the limits of our mobile future.
We saw a chance in bringing something new and innovative to Japan – an inspiring format that opens up the dialog between Asia and the US & Europe. We were greeted as a potential “catalyst” to provide a platform for open communication between Japanese corporations and the few start-ups that dare to try to build something new and independent.
We are entirely grateful for all those new friends that have opened their arms, welcomed our ideas, introduced us to their networks and helped us to understand the Japanese culture a bit more.
Up until now, great brands had decided to support us with speakers and entertaining the idea of sponsorships. We have to conclude though, that overall negotiations with sponsors have been slower than we had expected. In the end, the quality of an MLOVE event needs the financial aid of financial sponsors that help create this experience that our MLOVE alumni can expect from us.
And at this point, we have to concede to the fact, that the timing is just not right.
We understand it’s a bit disappointing, but believe us, this was not an easy decision to take. We believe Japan is a natural place to organize an edition of the MLOVE ConFestival and we love to host an MLOVE event there as soon as possible. But we want to be sure, that we do this with the full fledged MLOVE experience that our alumni, speakers, attendees, partners and sponsors have been so passionate about over the last few years.
We hope you understand!
We can still do amazing things together in the near future – we love to have you as a our guest at one of our future events in the USA or Europe. Ticket holders will be informed by email.
Thank you very much for your support so far, we’ll be sharing some exciting plans for 2013 soon.
